Marketing Coordinator:

Primaris REIT is currently hiring a dedicated and enthusiastic Marketing Coordinator to join our team at our Halifax Shopping Centre in Halifax, NS.

As the Marketing Coordinator you be implement and execute the strategic marketing plan and budget for the Centre. All efforts are directed towards meeting the objectives of the Centre's marketing plan.

• Assist with the Centre's branding and marketing strategy in all areas; including advertising, events, charitable and community endeavors
• Assist in the design and execution of a measurable & costeffective marketing plan and budget, utilizing research and analysis to set objectives and formulate strategies to increase centre traffic, retailers sales and market share
• Coordinate and execute events and programs using an assigned budget
• Coordinate and execute Centre marketing materials, displays and promotion installations
• Develop and foster relationships with customers, community groups, suppliers, tenants, staff and coworkers
• Partner with IT and Management to develop and maintain the Centre's website and social networking programs (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest etc.) by ensuring property, tenant and event details are current and accurate
• Research the market area and develop market data through local and national initiatives (i.e. focus groups) to respond to developments in marketing
• Monitor and report on marketing initiatives; including the gift card program
• Organize meetings with clients and suppliers
• Review Primaris research such as traffic counters and intercept studies to stay current with the marketplace
• Develop and maintain new and existing relationships with industry personnel by attending industry specific meetings and networking events
• Assist with media and advertising contract negotiations
• Ability to work longer hours during special events and seasonal peaks (holiday hours)
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• 24 years marketing experience, preferably within retail advertising or public relations
• Bachelors Degree or College Diploma in Marketing, Advertising, Business or related field
• Marketing I or II from ICSC an asset
• Socially adept, congenial and proficient in dealing with diverse personality types with tact and diplomacy
• Strong understanding of Shopping Centre terms and traffic strategies an asset
• Computer literate with skills in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
• Bilingual (French/English)
