6C Oncology is a 36 bed medicine unit.

We provide exemplary patient and family centered care to patients with both an oncology diagnosis and other patients with general medicine diagnoses.

We have a multi-disciplinary team including physicians, nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, pharmacists, dietitian and discharge planner who collaborate to provide safe, high quality care in a timely fashion to our patient population

Qualifications

  • Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Current Heart & Stroke approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire
  • Recent acute care medical experience required.
  • Advanced RPN and assessment skills including aseptic technique, N/G insertion, suctioning and airway maintenance.
  • Medication administration certificate an asset.
  • Organized and with ability to work in a team environment.
  • Caring, compassionate, customer focused attitude towards patients and families.
  • Good team player with positive attitude.
  • Evidence of continued learning.
  • Must be physically able to do the job, which involves heavy lifting and intensive physical effort.
  • Satisfactory employment and attendance record.

Salary:
$33.26 to $35.97 per hour
