Summary


Reporting to the Hansen Director of Demand and Engagement, you will play a crucial role in project managing events, collaborating with third-party contractors and event organizers, and ensuring that events align with our company's objectives.


Your exceptional organizational and communication skills, coupled with your keen attention to details, will contribute to the success of our events and strengthen our industry presence.

This position requires strong project management abilities and experience in managing industry and customer related events. Experience within the telecom, energy and utilities industry would be an asset.

This may include but not limited to the following responsibilities:


Responsibilities

  • Project Management: Lead endtoend project management of events, including planning, budgeting, execution, and postevent evaluation.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with thirdparty contractors, event organizers, and internal teams to ensure seamless execution of events.
  • Event Evaluation: Understand the landscape of relevant events and assess them based on their relevance to company objectives, brand positioning, target audience, and overall ROI.
  • Event Calendar: Maintain an uptodate calendar of events, tracking important milestones, deadlines, and proposed spending levels for each event.
  • Budget Management: Work closely with the marketing and sales leadership to establish event budgets, monitor spending, and ensure costeffectiveness.
  • Vendor Management: Identify and liaise with vendors, help negotiate contracts, and oversee the performance of external partners and suppliers.
  • Marketing and Promotions: Collaborate with the broader marketing team to develop and execute event promotion strategies, materials, and campaigns.
  • Onsite (or virtual)

Coordination:
Manage on-site logistics, coordinate event setup, oversee staff, and handle any unforeseen issues or emergencies.

  • Attendee Experience: Prioritize attendee satisfaction by ensuring a seamless experience, addressing feedback, and continuously improving future events.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare comprehensive event reports, analyzing key metrics and providing insights for future event planning.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years+ proven experience in managing events
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of successfully delivering multiple events simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to evaluate events based on their alignment with company objectives.
  • Proficiency using project management software/tools, and MS Office Suite.
  • Budget management experience, including cost estimation, monitoring, and reconciliation.
  • Flexibility to travel as necessary and/or work extended hours during events as necessary.
  • Certified marketing or events planning designation is preferred
  • Events management experience within the telecom, energy, or technology sectors a plus
