The Opportunity


Fueling Brains Academy is looking to hire a
Maintenance Coordinator who will lead the team while providing supervision, guidance, and training to all new and existing crew members.

As the Maintenance Coordinator you will be main point of contact for vendors and ensuring our facilities are maintained with a keen eye to detail and organization.


Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Organize, delegate and execute our organization's annual maintenance plan.
  • Assign tasks to workers, coordinate them, and ensure quality completion of work.
  • Communicate directly with service providers, vendors, and maintenance contractors to schedule repairs, servicing, preventive maintenance, and other projects required to keep the company's physical assets running smoothly.
  • Assist with interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new team members
  • Assist with developing a comprehensive maintenance budget and sometimes handle payments for maintenance services and necessary equipment and supplies.
  • Oversee inventory management and facility management.
  • Monitor usage of tools and equipment and ensure tools are readily available for assigned tasks.
  • Monitor use of PPE and other resources; recommend replacements when due.
  • Monitor safety and health compliance while communicating with the Senior Manager of Compliance to ensure all regulations are met
  • Support technicians during their daily equipment inspections and take care of maintenance logs.
  • Provide a wide variety of administrative assistance to managers, especially in the areas of managing work orders and tenant communication.
  • Handle miscellaneous maintenance tasks, like changing light bulbs or cleaning HVAC unit air filters, on hectic days when maintenance technicians are occupied.
  • Ensure maintenance of the maintenance van is upheld
  • Provide technical support to maintenance teams to enhance preventive and predictive maintenance strategies
  • Coordinate all routine maintenance activities within the area, supporting safe, reliable, and efficient execution
  • Ensure compliance with the maintenance and reliability standard, and other area specific maintenance procedures, processes, and tracking tools for the corrective and preventative maintenance program
  • Demonstrated strong leadership, organizational, interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Must be adept at managing multiple priorities and deadlines under mínimal supervision in fast paced team environment
  • Enter data into the organizational and responsibility matrix at the start of the project
  • Assist and monitor payroll functions to ensure the project team is using proper codes and cost allocation
  • Know and comply with client requirements, Occupational Health and Safety regulations, and all applicable government laws and regulations

Requirements:


  • High school diploma
  • Minimum 5 years experience
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Relevant licenses and certificates may be required.
  • Valid driver's license, clean driver's abstract
  • Courses in mechanical drawing, woodworking, electricity, and blueprint reading, would be advantageous.
  • Repair work experience.
  • Ability to lift over 40lbs
  • Excellent customer service and negotiation skills.
  • Leadership experience recommended.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Google Suites.
