Reporting to the Manager, Records & Information, this position will be responsible for supporting the maintenance, management and preservation of records and information at the City of St.
The key responsibilities will include:
Physical Records Filing
- Retrieve and sort mail that contains new records to be filed.
- Use alphabetical, numerical, and chronological systems to sort and file physical records.
- Retrieve data and files for other departments and employees.
- Prepare physical files to be digitized.
- Operate office equipment such as multifunction printer/copiers.
- Enter information into databases.
- Assist with the transportation of records from other departments within the building.
- Aid in the search and retrieval of records.
- Participate in records management special projects.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and computer literacy.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy.
- High attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong analytical and time management skills.
- Experience with general office equipment such as a Multifunction Printer/Copier/Scanner is an asset.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
This position offered as part of the Canada Summer Jobs program and therefore to be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- be between 15 and 30 years of age at the beginning of the Temporary position;
- have a valid Social Insurance Number and be legally entitled to work in Canada.
Hours of Work
We offer a work schedule of 80 hours bi-weekly, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
Compensation
$21.56 per hour
