We are looking for a Senior Project Manager for a 12-month contract position, with possible extensions in Calgary, Alberta. Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Hybrid schedule, at least 4 days in the office. 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week. It is NOT a remote role. Role Description
Our client is seeking a skilled Project Manager with a blend of technical and business expertise. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with business and functional teams, overseeing project planning, coordination, and execution. Key Responsibilities:

• Resource Coordination: Utilize your domain expertise and project management skills to coordinate resources, project timelines, milestones, and schedules.
• Reporting and Adaptation: Provide project status reports to the Sponsor and Steering Committee, and adeptly handle any changes to project plans.
• Team Coordination: You'll lead a diverse team, including business, functional, and IT staff, contractors, and system integrators throughout the project lifecycle.
• Holistic Approach: Your role involves validating and managing scope, estimating, resource planning, change management, stakeholder engagement, risk management, quality planning, and execution.
• Complex Transformation: Lead complex transformation projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Stakeholder Influence: Collaborate with and influence large stakeholder groups across various functions and business units.
• Project Definition: Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in alignment with business goals.
• Effective Risk Management : Address issues and conflicts that arise during the project. Your adept risk management skills will help maintain project stability.
• Results Monitoring and Improvement : Continuously track project achievements and results. When necessary, implement corrective measures to enhance overall performance.
• Comprehensive Leadership : Lead day-to-day activities for your project or program team, including direct and indirect reports. Ensure accurate, timely, and high-quality project outcomes.
• Change Management Collaboration : Partner with Corporate Change Management to design and implement effective OCM/Business Readiness strategies for the project.
• Timely, Scoped, and Budgeted Delivery : Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

Required Skills and Experience :

• Minimum of 10 years of progressive professional experience as a Project Manager or in a similar capacity.
• Experience in business transformation projects and/or business process/continuous improvement projects .
• Oil & Gas/Energy industry experience is a valuable asset.
• Proficiency in Supply Chain Management or similar, with Materials Management knowledge considered advantageous.
• Past exposure to SAP S/4 HANA and Field Logistics .
• Experience with Primavera 6 .
