Sharp Trucking Services is a privately-owned transportation and logistics company operating in Western Canada. We are looking for a
Dispatcher to join our Saskatoon operation.

The successful applicant will be responsible for coordinating daily workflow for trucks, trailers, and drivers. This is a full-time position with flexibility to cover absences when required.

We are searching for a forward thinker to join our team who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, with strong organizational and interpersonal skills to help grow Sharp Trucking Services through continuous improvement and innovation.

Managing Fleet Resources according to availability and schedules
Liaising with Maintenance on coordination and planning of equipment servicing
Planning and scheduling for plant interruptions, outages, haul diversions, holidays, etc.
Reviewing driver documents for accuracy and approving billable & payable hours
Reviewing dispatch schedules and plant details daily and strategically reevaluating plans to respond to changes
Communicating with customers and drivers to ensure optimal operations and customer satisfaction
Other duties as required by Operations

Job Requirements:

Minimum 3 years' experience in bulk dispatch, operations, logistics, or scheduling
Experience in Tanker and Industrial is an asset.
Postsecondary education; a certificate or diploma in Logistics or Supply Management an asset
Advanced Microsoft Excel and computer skills; experience with Axon or a similar dispatch system is an asset
Exceptional critical thinking and problem resolution skills
Ability to work with a dynamic team, in a dynamic industry
High level of attention to detail, with impeccable organizational abilities
Processdriven individual, who excels at executing tasks from conception through to completion
Professional, prompt communication skills with both internal and external "customers"
A motivated individual with an uncompromising commitment to safety
