    Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

    Position Overview

    Under the general direction of the Charge Imaging Service Technologist, the incumbent is responsible for servicing radiological equipment and radiological related equipment throughout Winnipeg sites. Examples of such equipment could include Nuclear Medicine Equipment (SPECT/CT), general radiographic equipment, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance scanners (MRI), digital cardiac and angiographic equipment, and accessory equipment.

    Experience

    • Previous experience servicing radiological equipment.
    • Experience with digital and computed radiography preferred.

    Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

    • Complete high school education, Manitoba standards, required.
    • Successful completion of a recognized two year electronics training program required.

    Certification/Licensure/Registration

    • Must be certified as an Electronic Engineering Technologist by CTTAM (Certified Technicians and Technologists Association of Manitoba Inc.) within 6 months of eligibility.

    Qualifications and Skills

    • Must have a working knowledge of MS Office productivity software.
    • Must exhibit excellent interpersonal and English communication skills, both oral and written.

    Physical Requirements

    • Good physical and mental health and manual dexterity required.
    • Stands and moves about during most of the working day.
    • Bends, stretches, lifts and carries materials or accessory equipment.
    • At times, may be required to push or pull heavy equipment.
    • Access to a personal vehicle to travel between sites within Winnipeg is required.
