JOB PURPOSE:


Reporting to North American Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) Director, the S&OP Process Manager will ensure high performing processes in McCain's North American integrated planning process.

The role will ensure that the S&OP and S&OE processes enable high performing operational planning and execution.

Coach the Step participants through execution of their S&OP and S&OE responsibilities via continuous feedback, process enhancements, ensuring well-articulated issue sheets are used, stakeholders are engaged, well thought recommendations are drafted, decisions are made, and execution/action plans are committed & executed with owners and completion dates.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Lead the Process stream as part of the Integrated Planning Transformation within North America, working closely with the global S&OP transformation team. This includes the development of the inputs, process and outputs of each S&OP Step to ensure process standardization across the enterprise and appropriate RACIs, linked to NA and global strategic ambitions.
  • Work with the S&OP Director to Influence the global S&OP design to ensure fit with the North American business needs and uniquities.
  • Leverage standard templates to guide the planning process at each Step clearly articulating and helping to gather key inputs and outputs. Support the evolution of global processes and templates to meet changing business requirements.
  • Evolve S&OP and S&OE processes as analytics and other system technologies are deployed. Actively participate in design thinking sessions tied to future system needs.
  • Ensure high performance in the S&OP five steps and that the process includes the following:
  • Portfolio Planning Gap Review (PPGR): Define 3-24-month innovation and launch plans. Facilitate decisions on changes in portfolio (launches and discontinuations) that meet targets & business strategy, through well executed activities, while balancing resources.
  • Demand Gap Review (DGR): Review unconstrained demands forecast 324 months. Outline demand scenarios to close gap against plan.

Sharpen Demand forecast/ Consensus plan:
Statistical forecast, Customer's forecast, Marketing/Commercial input, Financial goal alignment

  • Supply Gap Review (SGR): Assess operational feasibility of the unconstrained demand scenarios and related financial impact to the plan. Develop supply options to mitigate gaps. Align on Longterm capacity planning
  • Integrated Gap Closing Review (IGCR): Resolve critical gaps between demand, supply and financials. Finalize optimal scenarios that are tied to financial outcomes. Create a consensus S&OP plan that can be executed. Submit R&Os that can be addressed through leveraging of the global network
  • Executive Business Review (EBR): Finalize consensus plan from step 4 with signoff from Category Leadership.

KEY QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCES:


  • Detailed understanding of demand planning, supply planning, with some experience in financial support required. Basic understanding of business processes used in product development.
  • 5+ years of experience in Food and/or related CPG industries.
  • Demonstrated technical proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint;
  • Basic understanding of business processes used in product development and demand planning
  • Strong communication, presentation and facilitation skills
  • Embodies elements of highperforming culture: focused, disciplined, accountable, opportunistic, and engaged
  • Experience working with detailed information and numerical data and presenting it in a way that is easily understood by people at different levels in the organization.
  • Independent and tactical with a proven ability to develop professional relationships and work in a teamoriented environment
  • Works well under pressure, change and ambiguity
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in both remote and officebased environments

OTHER INFORMATION

  • Travel: mínimal, as required. Must be able to travel internationally.
  • Job is primarily performed in a standard office environment
