Description:

Key Activities and Responsibilities

  • Owner of the operating expenses forecast and accrual model for all pipeline systems, accountable for the preparation and analysis of monthly forecasts and accruals related to pipeline operating expenses and maintenance capital
  • Key contact person for all power invoices, prepare reports and analyze fuel and power forecasts and accruals, and work with Transportation Marketing closely on information required on power hedges
  • Work with the business unit commercial and operational leadership teams to ensure that performance measurement scorecards support quality data management and are aligned to the forecasting approach
  • Continue to align the business units ongoing forecasting practice and with IPL's Corporate Strategy & Planning expectations
  • Assist Commercial advisors with shipper's budget and ad hoc shipper reporting needs
  • Key liaison for internal groups within Inter Pipeline, such as Transportation Accounting, Pipeline Field Operations, Oil Movements, Treasury and Corporate Planning etc.
  • Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Education, Skills & Experience:


  • Postsecondary education with a business, finance, or accounting degree ( good with numbers and analytics)
  • Minimum of three years of related experience in the oil and gas industry, along with working knowledge of midstream infrastructure and operations
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SAP
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills along with a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and communicate business analyses
  • Welldeveloped presentation, communication and interpersonal skills are required
  • Proactive selfstarter with the ability to adapt to changing priority
  • Must be organized, highly adaptable and able to work well in a fast paced, growth environment
