Integra Eyecare Centre, a leading and innovative eye care facility, is seeking a skilled and dedicated MOA / Optical Assistant to join our team.

As we continue to grow, we are excited to be opening a brand new location in Vancouver. The new hire will have the opportunity to work either in Vancouver or Burnaby, depending on their preference.

We are an independently owned specialty optometry clinic, with industry-leading tech, an on-site edging lab with a brand new edger, and an excellent selection of frames.

Our clinics offer state-of-the-art equipment such as OCT (AngioVue), Humphrey Visual Field,
Daytona and Monaco Optomap, osmolarity testing, VR vision therapy, RF, IPL, and so much more. We strive to provide the best eye care possible to our patients.

Responsibilities:

❖ Greeting and welcoming patients with a friendly and professional demeanor
❖ Assisting with patient intake, gathering relevant medical history, and updating records
❖ Conducting preliminary tests, including visual acuity, tonometry, lensometry, and scans such as OCT and corneal topography
❖ Preparing examination rooms and ensuring they are clean and organized
❖ Assisting with frame selection and eyewear adjustments
❖ Performing basic administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and managing phone calls
❖ Educating patients on contact lens insertion, removal, and proper eye care techniques
❖ Sterilizing and maintaining equipment to ensure a hygienic and safe environment
❖ Supporting optometrists during eye exams and various procedures


Qualifications:

❖ High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in optometry or related fields are a plus

❖ Proven experience as an optometric or medical assistant is preferred but not mandatory
❖ Knowledge of basic medical terminology and eye care procedures

❖ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
❖ Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively
❖ Proficient in using computer systems and electronic health records
❖ Customer-focused approach with a commitment to providing exceptional patient care
❖ Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry advancements
❖ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate as part of a cohesive team
