  • Our company requires an experienced Business Analyst to work with our clients to understand their requirements, work with a technical team to propose solutions, verify scope in a quality assurance capacity, and document scope for client sign off and approval. We are looking for individuals who can multitask, love working with clients, are detailoriented, have excellent communication skills, and can use advanced problemsolving skills.

General Responsibilities:


  • Meet with key stakeholders to understand and provide guidance on their process, determine business system needs and requirements
  • Lead the analysis effort with clients on custom software development projects
  • Analyze and formulate solutions to business problems including writeups more detailed than User Stories that the development team can use from a technical perspective, workflow diagrams/process maps, software prototypes/wireframes, and end user documentation
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with various stakeholders, including functional/technical specifications and testing results with Developers
  • Assist with developing testing strategies
  • Perform testing within specific timelines on new features and functionality to ensure they meet the business requirements
  • Train users on system functionality, including travel to client sites to conduct software training (must meet travel requirements to enter the USA)
  • Become intimately familiar with all aspects of the Grants Management Software
  • Challenge the status quo don't just accept what is presented
  • Operate both independently and as a team in a fastpaced and demanding work environment with competing priorities where strong organization and multitasking skills are required

Required Skills and Experience:


  • Minimum 5 years proven work experience as a Business Analyst for custom software implementations that have taken a system live
  • Passion for analysis and problemsolving, with proficiency in BABOK Principles and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Solid organizational skills with attention to detail ability to not just track tasks from a high level, but get down in the details, understand the problems, and come up with holistic solutions
  • Experience with Grants Management and Agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban an asset
  • Ability to author software requirements and specifications documents
  • Excellent clientfacing and internal communication (written, verbal, and visual) and interpersonal skills
  • Experience manually testing and facilitating User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for custom software
  • Experience in providing software support and training to end users
  • Must be located within United States or Canada, and must be willing and able to travel to/within the United States to meet clients onsite (must meet travel requirements to enter the USA if located within Canada)
  • Exceptional presentation (written, verbal, and visual) skills, without stage fright
  • Leadership skills, business acumen, and ability to demonstrate to clients a complete command and understanding of the business needs, problems, issues, and priorities in relation to the custom software
  • Tech savvy with strong ability to adapt and be flexible as new technology is implemented
  • Quick learner who is selfmotivated and proactive, takes initiative and accountability, demonstrates radical candor and a cando attitude with a serviceoriented approach
  • Must be highly resourceful with ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong timemanagement skills with ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a fastpaced, technical environment

Education/Certification:


  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree
  • CBAP or similar certifications would be considered an asset
