Your Opportunity:


The Project Manager/Clinical Implementation Lead supports the successful implementation of the DECIDE-T (Digital Health Pathway for Children with Medical Complexity requiring tracheostomy) project.

This is a temporary, full-time grant funded position which reports to the Executive Director of the Medicine SCN and the DECIDE-T Project Leads.

This project is funded by a Partnership for Research and Innovation in the Health System (PRIHS) research grant from Alberta Innovates.


Description:


In this role the incumbent will work with stakeholders to design and implement a standardized provincial care pathway for children requiring tracheostomy, from decision-making in critical care environments throughout the hospital journey and transition home on available evidence, and roll-out strategies that promote behavior changes for complex provincial clinical practice improvements.

The incumbent works with a high degree of independence and draws upon leadership, project management and quality improvement change management skills to ensure activities are delivered within scope, budget and on time.

The lead will require a Masters degree in health-related research, clinical experience, with a minimum of 5 years' experience leading quality improvement and change implementation of large-scale projects in acute care medicine.

They will have clinical understanding and credibility, familiarity with data systems, ability to understand and explain data reports, and project management and group facilitation skills.

They will be able to critically think through questions, respond appropriately, and promote education to help promote behavior change.

The Lead will serve as a facilitator, convener of meetings, agenda setter, task master, skill builder for implementation teams, knowledge broker, and problem solver.

Required Qualifications:


Masters Degree in a clinical health-related field with a minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in acute care medicine.

Extensive knowledge of the health system and a minimum of 5 years' experience leading quality improvement and change implementation of large-scale projects.


Additional Required Qualifications:


Preferred Qualifications:

Nursing or healthcare professional designation is an asset. Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite. Knowledge in Redcap data management tools is an asset. Training and experience using Connect Care in a clinical environment is an asset.
