What's the job?


As the
Corporate Translator
(English\French) your primary objective will be to deliver high-quality translated content that aligns with our internal requirements and enables us to effectively engage a broader audience.


Requirements Job Duties include, but are not limited to the following**:

  • Translating and adapts high visibility customer facing documents from English to French while respecting tight deadlines
  • Proofread peer, external translations to ensure writing style, message delivery and overall quality of content
  • Review and edit translations to ensure allaround consistency (style, fonts, images, layout, etc.)
  • Make proper use of industry standards and legal terminologies such as trademarks throughout the communications
  • Show great versatility and flexibility of tone while addressing different communities, groups, topics, and target audiences
  • Proofreads, edits and approves final versions (for print, Web, internal systems, etc.)
  • Juggles multiple projects and priorities in a fastpaced environment
  • Maintains and uses translation memories, terminology bases and style guides
  • Researches relevant terminology and various other aspects which will lead to superiorquality translations
  • Liaises with clients to discuss any unclear points and escalates issues to the manager if needed
  • Ensures the highest quality of service to clients by ensuring that all servicelevel commitments are met or exceeded
Effective collaboration with internal departments inclusive of North America Shared service centers (Marketing, NA Communications team, etc.


Additional Requirements What do you bring?**
Education/Experience:
  • BSc in Translation, Interpreting or similar field
  • Excellent knowledge of French and English, both written and spoken
  • French Canadian Communication and Translation skills
years + experience

  • Good knowledge of most recent legislations and insuring to stay compliant with the Office québécois de la langue française
  • Experience translating from American\Canadian English into French Canadian strongly preferred
  • Ability to ensure translation maintains appropriate feeling, tone and style
  • Experience using translation software and terminology database
  • Excellent proofreading skills with the ability to identify grammar, spelling and punctuation errors
  • Good knowledge of content editing tools
