_The following opportunity is a six-month contract with a potential three-month extension, working 35 hours/week._
Working directly with the Program Manager, Clinical Accreditation Services, Director of Accreditation, and Assistant Registrar, as the

Program Manager, Non-Hospital Surgical Facility (NHSF), you are responsible for a broad scope of activities related to the accreditation of non-hospital surgical facilities. You will work independently to gather and analyze information, and communicate with key stakeholders. In addition, you will also provide support for the Non-Hospital Surgical Facility (NHSF) Advisory Committee.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

_ Support Clinical Accreditation Services NHSF program in gathering and analyzing information relating to requirements of facility/service accreditation:_

  • Track activities related to accreditation assessments including sending out pre
- and post
- accreditation correspondence; liaising with facility staff, medical directors, and assessors to provide information and instructions on accreditation/approval requirements and processes.

  • Provide direction, leadership, and quality assurance advice to stakeholders; ensure tools meet stakeholder needs.
  • Provide oversight in development of assessor education, support, and training.
  • Identify and coordinate educational initiatives to foster communication and promote quality enhancement with facilities and assessors.
  • Maintain facility files, ensure CPSA database and assessment tracking system is current and accurate.
  • Support the Non-Hospital Surgical Facility Advisory Committee including agenda management, dossier development, and meeting management.

Support clinical accreditation program with processing reportable incident report submissions:_**- Review document submissions and liaise with CPSA reviewers and facility stakeholders.

Function as member of the Accreditation team in administration and operation of NHSF program including:_**- Business planning and development of long-term strategies.


  • Budget planning for program area.

Standards/Accreditation Processes:
_**- Provide content expertise and consulting regarding current standard to all stakeholders.

  • Responsible for maintaining currency of standards; manage rollout and use of standards.
  • Identify quality improvement initiatives to enhance general operating procedures and technical infrastructure supporting NHSF programs.
  • Act as representative of Clinical Accreditation Services NHSF program to stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:


  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing and registered (or eligible for registration) with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta.

Experience:


  • Requirement for 5 to 8 years of related experience.
  • Experience in accreditation assessments required.
  • Experience in a surgical nursing environment and working in a nonhospital surgical facility is an asset.

Skills:


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with general medical terminology and healthcare services.
  • Selfdirected must be able to perform independently with mínimal direction.

SALARY
The salary for the duration of this contract is $54,034 and includes a benefit package.
