The Position

This challenging position offers the opportunity to build new skills and gain experience with our Products team. Your abilities and interests will strongly influence the nature of this position at VertiGIS North America.


Responsibilities:


  • Software product quality assurance, which may involve research and analysis, product testing, test case design, automated functional tests, defect verification, release testing, managing test data, and beta support
  • Working with a variety of development and quality assurance technologies and approaches including onpremises and SaaS deployment, backend services, and frontend UI
  • Provide guidance and knowledge to other stakeholders within the company

Requirements:


  • Diploma/degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent competency
  • Experience in software programming, ideally in automated functional testing
  • Knowledge and experience with one or more of the following: JavaScript/TypeScript, React, C#,.NET
  • A proven ability to learn and master new technologies quickly
  • Wellversed in software version control concepts
  • Familiar with Agile software development concepts
  • Demonstrable interpersonal and communication skills for success in a team environment
  • Capacity to work, troubleshoot, and solve problems independently
  • High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail
Would love to see

  • Working experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer
  • Experience with GIS and/or spatial systems (ESRI, OGC, etc.)
  • Experience with UX driven development, particularly on mobile platforms
  • Experience with WCAG and accessibility concepts
  • Experience with Cloud Computing frameworks (Azure, AWS, etc.)
