What you'll do:


To be an ideal At-Your-Service (AYS) Agent, you'll happily answer all calls in the hotel with a friendly and efficient aim to help in every way.

Operating a multi-line telephone system, you'll help our guests and clients by answering internal and external calls and sleuthing the answers to guest inquiries with genuine care and a drive to offer the very best in customer service.

Your English communication skills - especially in comprehension and expression - will be second to none But it will be your desire to use your communication skills to help others and create a happier world that will bring you success in this role.

The responsibilities of this position include:

  • Answering all calls in three rings with a smile and an appropriate greeting.
  • Transferring calls to the proper associate or department.
  • Programming wakeup calls. / Ensuring all wakeup calls are acknowledged.
  • Completing calls using a smile and an appropriate farewell.
  • Sharing your knowledge of the hotel property and services as well as your love of Toronto and its various attractions and hidden gems.
  • Keeping up to date on our hotel neighborhood and local events.
  • Updating the info board daily and being informed about memos and daily
- operations.

  • Being completely familiar with all emergency procedures and the fire system.
  • Carrying out all reasonable requests by management.
  • Being available to work variable shifts (evenings, weekends and holidays).
  • Being a team player with a genuine desire to please our guests.
  • Keeping your workspace tidy and well stocked.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

What you'll offer us:


We are looking for a dynamic, energetic individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and fosters a culture of respect and positivity.


  • Completed or working toward a Certificate or Diploma in Hotel Management preferred.
  • Previous guest services experience (Switchboard/Front Office/Concierge) in a hotel or similar environment preferred.


  • Good computer knowledge

  • Knowledge of PMS an asset.
  • An outgoing personality.
  • Excellent phone etiquette.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • French and/or other languages considered an asset.
  • Must thrive in a team environment.
  • Have a good knowledge of the tourism and hospitality offerings in Toronto.
  • Must be able to work evenings, mornings, weekends and holidays

Job Types:

Salary:
$19.63-$24.53 per hour
