requires an

Part-Time Educational Assistant

at T. A. Norris Middle School

The school is located in the town of Peace River and serves students from grades 5-8.

The school offers a high quality core academic program, consisting of English, French Immersion and French Second Language and a wide range of exploratory courses which include Art, Drama, Home Economics and Band.

T.A. Norris also offers hockey and dance academies.

Qualifications:

Educational Assistant Certificate or equivalent

Experience and/or training working with students in a junior/senior high school setting

Skills:

Ability to work with children with varied skill levels, needs and abilities

Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Commitment and accountability

Requirements:

Provide an acceptable current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check

Assets:
This school offers French programming to its students, knowledge of the French language is considered an asset.

This is a union position under the CUPE Local 4839 Peace River School Support Staff.

Rate of Pay:

$ 20.16 to $ 25.29 per hour (dependent on experience and education in accordance with the collective agreement between the CUPE Local 4839 and the Peace River School Division).

Benefits:

The following benefits are available to CUPE Support Staff Association employees when they have successfully completed the probationary period and are working at a 0.

50 FTE or greater in accordance with the collective agreement between the CUPE Local 4839 and the Peace River School Division
