The role is a Corporate T&D specialist who will have a key role to work with all aspects of training, focusing primarily on business skills and competencies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following are the main job responsibilities and priorities for this position:
- Supports the strategy realization of MacDon with key focus on competency development, business skills and leadership skills training.
- Continuously improves onboarding/orientation process.
- Conducts needs assessment through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and communication with internal customers and external sources.
- Sources trainers/programs to support training requirements providing recommendations for best options.
- Creates and/or acquires training procedure manuals, guides, and course materials.
- Presents training and development programs using various forms and formats including group discussion, lecture, simulations, videos in person, recorded and virtually.
- Provides coaching.
- Maintains knowledge of the latest trends in training and development
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
- Postsecondary education in Business, or a related field
- Certificate in Adult Continuing education is preferred.
- Change Management, Project Management, Coaching, or Emotional Intelligence certification is an asset.
- Proven ability to develop and successfully implement training programs.
- Human Resources Management Certification (CHRP) considered an asset.
- Ability to influence and build relationship with stakeholders.
Skills and Knowledge
- 24 years' experience training both inperson and virtually
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Strong timemanagement skills and the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Ability to work with all levels of the organization.
- Must have intermediate to advanced knowledge with MS Office, Power Point and Excel.
