Job summary
We are seeking an experienced Shift Supervisor to join our team at Dundas Agg ON. The successful candidate will oversee day afternoon or night shift activities ensuring site level safety culture through consistent engagement with employees and contractors.Responsibilities
- Develop and instill a site level safety culture through consistent engagement with employees and contractors.
- Lead daily huddles participates with the JHSC to demonstrate commitment to workplace safety Ensure front line employee compliance to all applicable local and regional health & safety policies initiatives including but not limited to hazard reporting risk assessment Working at Heights Confined Space Energy Isolation Hot Work Assist in the preparation for participation in periodic health & safety site audits Assist in administration of Contractor Safety Management program by completing site orientations where required regularly auditing contractor performance ensure compliance applicable local regional health & safety policies Directly responsible individual development motivation training direct reports maximize their performance Responsible administration disciplinary measures fair consistent manner address correct substandard performance direct reports Assistsite hiring process Administer management collective hourly agreements amongst direct reports Promote develop drive customer focus operational efficiency performance management frontline teams Practice active passive supervision frontline teams Support shift scheduling meet production demands Support meeting daily production targets Participate short term planning execution maintenance activities along Maintenance Department Involvedimplementationcompliance Maintenance Module creating job plans completing equipment inspection logs managing maintenance backlogs Manage shipping receiving responsibilities onsite Loading unloading delivery trucks using document record parts deliveries production purposes Maintain inventory records parts safequipment general housekeeping part storage area Works closelyMaintenance Department ensure storagelocation stock adequate Participate monthly EBIT reviews ensure accuracy identify cost reduction opportunities When assistmanagementallfrontlineshippingpersonnel Coordinate sales dispatch personnel ensure daily customer requirements met Coordinate Quality Shipping personnel address shipping quality issues relatedproduction issues Supports shorttermplanning executionactivities accordance Mining Plan Ensure sitinglevel compliance Ministry Natural Resources Forestry MNRFrequirementsincludingbutnotlimitedtositesplan rehabilitation dust control Assistdevelopment implementationmaintenanceEnvironmentalManagementSystem EMS Daily water dataensure compliance Permits Take Water PTTW respective sites Prepared participate environmental audits Inspectsite plant dustemissions enactactionplantundercontrol Checkmonitorpumps Actadditionalcontactrelevantstakeholderslocalcommunity neighbors competitors governmentofficers Demonstratecommitmentcommunicatingimprovingadheringhealth safetysurroundingspromotesafetyexhibitbehaviors
