Job Summary

Education:


  • Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Human Resources or a related field
  • An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered

Knowledge:


  • Knowledge of workforce management and human capital management (HCM) systems such as Kronos and PeopleSoft (or similar) an asset
  • Able to work in a time sensitive, confidential, and detailoriented environment
  • Excellent record keeping, organization, communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities:


_ Coordinate and/or conduct Interviews and related activities (60% of time)_:

  • Explain details of the job, requirements and to the organization to applicants
  • Evaluate an applicant's skills, knowledge and experience to determine qualifications and fit for a position
  • Review and recommend screening and interview questions to managers and Human Resources
  • Assist with creating, coordinating and populating interview schedules
  • Assist with the preparation of interview materials and arranging of logistics
  • Work closely with the Vacancy Management Coordinator, Talent Acquisition Advisor and Talent Acquisition and other HR representatives
  • Keep internal stakeholders informed as required

_ Conduct references and make Job Offers (30% of time)_:

  • Following completed references checks, alert manager of any issues and make recommendation for hire, based on current vacancies and knowledge of diverse needs of each home
  • Assist with contacting successful applicant and discussing available vacancies (including shifts and locations), an overview of central scheduling including availability requirements, and other pertinent onboarding information
  • Work closely with the Vacancy Management Coordinator, Talent Acquisition Advisor and Talent Acquisition and other HR representatives
  • Provide the Talent Acquisition with applicant documentation and relevant vacancy information to finalize job offer
  • Keep internal stakeholders informed as required

_ Meetings (10% of time)_:


  • Participate in meetings regarding the overall recruitment function for long term care
  • Identify and participate in process improvement initiatives, policy updates, etc.
  • Provide support on Vacancy Management and recruitment projects as required
  • Build strong relationships with managers and other administrative roles across the organization
  • Work closely with the Vacancy Management Coordinator, Talent Acquisition Advisor and Talent Acquisition and other Human Resources representatives
