The role in a nutshell

Based at our Toronto office, the Commercial Operations Associate will use their skills to efficiently complete a range of tasks to support the physical sales and delivery of our products - primarily copper.

More specifically, you will be expected to:

Be responsible for the administration of purchase and sales contracts;
Complete Sales order entry and order changes;
Ensure that all documents comply with the company internal guidelines;
Truck and rail car scheduling including warehouse Transfer planning and shipment scheduling;
Do the weekly and monthly reporting of shipment status, customer issues, metal production guidance, smelter inventories and salesrealizations;
Monitor the documentation of contracts, including comanaging of contract changes and corrections;
Have close interactions with worldwide offices for guidance on Chartering, Insurance, Finance, Legal and Compliance.

Do you have what it takes?

Postsecondary studies in Mining, Administration, Commerce, Logistics, Economics or another relevant field;
A minimum of 18 months of work experience (ideally with an exposure to logistics and/or commodities);
Have good administrative skills, a strong attention to detail and effective communication skills;
You are actionoriented, energetic and have a positive attitude;
You are a team player, eager to learn and have a flexible approach.

Language:
English (verbal and written). Knowledge of French, Spanish and/or Mandarin is an asset.
