Trans Mountain operates Canada's only pipeline system transporting oil products to the West Coast.

We deliver approximately 300,000 barrels of petroleum products each day through 1,150 kilometres of pipeline in Alberta and British Columbia, and 111 kilometres of pipeline in Washington state.

As an Account Analyst with Trans Mountain, you'll have the opportunity to work with a progressive and fast-paced group of experts.

The Account Analyst is responsible for the processing of general ledger accounting of bank transactions, accounts receivable invoicing, collections and managing the day to day of the corporate credit card program.

This position is covering a maternity leave position based in our Calgary Head Office and reports to the Team Lead, Accounting.

Processes customer invoices ensuring accuracy and completion against supporting documents/data. Includes customer collections as necessary.
Prepares account reconciliations.
Reviews data to ensure accuracy and reasonability of transactions to the various Trans Mountain entities.
Performs/processes bank transactions ensuring all supporting documentation is retained.

Manages credit card program – corresponds with credit card provider as necessary, handles new applications, provides support to cardholders, ensures user compliance to policy, follows up on coding and approvals as required, internal reporting.

Accounting or Business Administration diploma (Minimum community college diploma).
3 – 5 years accounting experience, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
Enrolled in an accounting designation program is considered an asset.

Experience in a computerized accounting environment; experience with Microsoft D365 and Office applications, including Power BI is considered an asset.

Account reconciliation and analytical skills;
Data handling and processing of transactions and invoices;

Ability to attend to detail and accuracy and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner in a high-paced, agile and multi-task environment.

May need to provide support outside of regular business hours and/or on the weekend.
