Overhead Door Installer/Service Technician

Job Summary:


Join our team at Queen City Overhead Door as a Residential and Commercial Installer/Service Technician, where you'll play a crucial role in installing and maintaining garage doors and opener systems.

You'll be responsible for delivering top-notch service to our customers while ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality.


This position is responsible for delivering and installing residential overhead doors, record keeping, housekeeping at the warehouse, maintaining service vehicles and equipment, product education and training, safety training, component repair, general maintenance, diagnostics, and other duties, as required.

It is a safety-sensitive position.


Job Duties:


  • Install and repair residential garage doors and components, including springs, cables, tracks, and sections.
  • Perform installation of garage door openers and related components.
  • Educate customers on product features and maintenance requirements.
  • Maintain records, ensure warehouse organization and upkeep of service vehicles and equipment.
  • Participate in safety and product training sessions.
  • Provide courteous and professional service, representing Queen City Overhead Door with integrity.

Qualifications:


  • Minimum 2 years of experience in residential overhead door installation and service.
  • Ability to work independently with attention to detail.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain essential safety certifications.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problemsolving abilities.
  • Physically fit, able to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
  • Flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

  • Work in varied weather conditions, from 30°C to +40°C.
  • Perform physical tasks such as climbing, lifting, and operating tools.
  • Frequent travel and overtime may be required.
  • Exposure to loud noises and construction sites.

Pay:
$22.00-$25.00 per hour
