As an IT Security Operations Analyst, you will work as a key member of Technical Services and become an integral part of the Wallace & Carey IT team.
You will be responsible for ensuring our environments are administered and monitored appropriately while focusing on security configuration, policies, and day-to-day operations.
Reports To
Information Technology Operations Manager
Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitoring events and alerts from our various IT systems
- Working with our thirdparty managed security operations team
- Coordinating enduser IT security awareness campaigns
- Implementing a vulnerability management program
- Coordinating penetration testing
- Building and maintaining a security forensics lab
- Troubleshooting and supporting our network, server, and storage infrastructure
- Participating in IT projects as required
- Participating in a 24X7 oncall rotation and occasional work outside regular business hours
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Undergraduate degree in computer science and 5 years of experience in information technology or equivalent years of experience in information technology
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a systems administrator and security operations role supporting these key technologies: Windows server, VMWare, Microsoft 365 & Azure, enterprise network devices, corporate firewalls, and advanced XDR
- Security certificate or certification is an asset
- Experience working in an ITIL environment (foundations certification an asset)
- Must have progressive handson skills:
- Penetration testing tools
- Orchestrating phishing campaigns
- SIEM tools
- Managing Microsoft 365 and Azure tenants (IAAS and Federation)
- Corporate Firewalls
- Enterprise SD-WAN technologies
- Windows Server
- PowerShell
- Modern VPN Technologies
- ITSM Tools
- MDM platforms (Intune preferred)

Working Environment
- Hybridmix of 40 hours onsite and remote work from home per week plus participation in afterhours oncall support rotation.
- Occasional travel to branch locations across Canada.

- Some lifting of IT equipment may be required.
