We are currently seeking a
Campus Safety Coordinator to join our team who shares our commitment to quality education, student success and safety.


Reporting to the Manager of Compliance, this position will be responsible for maintaining a safe environment for everyone on campus by ensuring the physical security along with the environmental and occupational safety of all people and assets of the campus.


Job Requirement:
On-Campus, In-Person; _this is not a remote position_


Core Duties / Responsibilities:

Campus Safety Coordinator:_

  • Provide support for faculty, staff, students and visitors by enforcing the Institution's regulations and security practices, while maintaining confidentiality
  • Ensure the safety and physical security of all operations, persons, buildings and assets of the Institution through a variety of security techniques and methods
  • Periodically patrol the grounds and facilities of the Campus(es) they are assigned to in a manner consistent with departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and policy
  • Be highly visible, interactive and available to all persons on an assigned campus in order to answer inquiries, offer referrals, assistance and respond to all emergency situations to provide initial management and coordination of the emergency management infrastructure as necessary
  • Prepare and/or enter a variety of information into applicable documents, spreadsheets, databases, logs, and/or other related areas under the established guidelines and procedures
  • Assist designated Campus Safety Officers in their campus law enforcement duties
  • Coordinate yearly CPR certification sessions for staff members
  • Manage and update the College's OHSA guidelines and materials and ensure record keeping is comprehensive and organized
  • Maintain Workplace Safety and Prevention Services (JHSC) certification and ensure the Institution's JHSC has adequate certified and properly represented members

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:


  • Must possess a Bachelor's degree in a related field; higher degrees in appropriate fields related to our programs are considered an asset
  • Minimum 2year experience working in a related position.
  • Minimum 2year experience working in a postsecondary setting, frontfacing role along with skills pertaining to International Students is an asset
  • Must possess CPR/First Aid Certificate
  • Must possess Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC) Certificate
  • Skills and experience working with a multicultural clientele
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills, conflict resolution skills, behavior management skills and collaborative ability to liaise with all stakeholders
  • Ability to inherently demonstrate an understanding of confidentiality, a high level of integrity and be trustworthy
  • Excellent verbal and written skills to be expressed across all communication channels
  • Excellent risk assessment skills are required in order to be able to interpret and/or be analytical of various situations

Up to $45,000.00 per year
