Job Description Mission**At CIMA+, we firmly believe that engineering exists to improve the quality of life of people around us, within our company and the communities in which we operate. As a Climate Change Professional, you will support public and private clients to achieve their sustainability development objectives, specifically with decarbonization and resilience infrastructure of climate change. You will actively participate in the analysis and implementation of innovative, sustainable, and resilient engineering solutions for large-scale projects across Canada.

  • This position will allow you to work in the CIMA+ office of your choice, among those located in Quebec, and to use a hybrid work mode for a better worklife balance._

Primary Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor climate change projects with clients and other stakeholders
  • Conduct greenhouse gas (GHG) emission inventories for various types of projects, companies and municipalities, in accordance with recognized standards and guidelines (GHG Protocol, Scope 1, 2 and 3)
  • Carry out life cycle assessments to evaluate intrinsic carbon
  • Evaluate and prioritize different carbon reduction measures and mitigation strategies
  • Develop carbon neutrality strategies
  • Write and present reports and action plans to various clients
  • Keep abreast of the various guidelines and regulations relating to GHG emissions and communicate the criteria to be met to clients

Qualifications

  • University degree in biology, engineering, environment, regional planning, sustainability, or any other industryrelated training
  • A minimum of five (5) years of proven relevant experience in GHG inventory and decarbonization
  • Organizational skills, autonomy and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Indepth understanding of climate change principles, practices and industry standards, with a particular focus on how they can be effectively communicated and implemented to motivate and lead others
  • Knowledge of decarbonization and life cycle assessment strategies, the main corporate reporting frameworks (CDP, SBTi, TCFD, TNFD) or experience in climate risk assessment or transition projects would be considered an asset
  • Strong communication skills to share recommendations and ideas effectively and concisely through reports, presentation documents, client proposals and other written communications
  • Fluency in written and spoken French and English; This position requires bilingual proficiency as a fundamental skill, empowering you to engage effectively with our diverse stakeholders for projects across Canada
