Position Summary


In support of the efficient operation of the Clinical Research Program, the principal responsibilities of the Research Clerk include: performing book-keeping responsibilities; providing administrative support; organizing and maintaining financial records of research expenses; reconciling study expenses and performing administration functions.


Duties:


  • Performing bookkeeping responsibilities understanding the process of financial invoicing and reconciliation
  • Providing clerical support
  • Organizing and maintaining SharePoint study files per the program standards
  • Performing patient administration functions, formatting documents
  • Invoice issuance and followup outstanding payments
  • Reconciling of study expenses
  • Tracking of study expenses in program software
  • Filing of all electronic financial files per program standards
  • Quarterly reports on study expense status

Qualifications:


  • Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Minimum one (1) year of recent related clerical experience
  • General knowledge of office practices, processes, and procedures
  • Previous onthejob computer word processing/spreadsheet experience
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good problemsolving skills
  • Ability to produce highquality work by Hospital standards
  • Completion of a recognized postsecondary secretarial arts program at the certificate level or equivalent preferred
  • Experience working in a Microsoft Office software environment
  • Experience working in a healthcare environment is preferred
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology preferred
