Job summary
We are seeking an Accounts Payable & Accounting Coordinator to join our finance team based just outside of Halifax.This role offers a balanced mix of accounts payable and general accounting responsibilities and is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who brings structure to complexity and enjoys being an active contributor on a collaborative fast-moving team.
- Maintain and reconcile accounts payable for stock special and job-related orders
- Post AP vouchers by matching purchase orders packing slips and receipt documentation
- Prepare and review monthly AP aging reports and support month-end reconciliations
- Reconcile corporate credit cards and fleet cards process employee expense reports prepare vendor payments including cheques EFTs foreign wires credit cards online and vendor portal payments serve as primary contact for vendor inquiries maintain accounting entries for insurance prepaid expenses other finance items assist with budgeting forecasting monthly quarterly annual financial reporting prepare post journal entries job cost sales recognition reports participate in special projects expense analysis ad hoc initiatives support year-end preparation experience & attributes success
- post-secondary education commerce business or accounting strongly preferred
