We are looking for a dynamic and collaborative leader to join the Town of Innisfil and our Operations Team as Supervisor, Facilities Operations

Directly in line with our

Innovative Innisfil 2030 and with a "Community First" approach, you will provide the highest excellence in customer service to a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders ensuring the areas and work projects comply with all applicable legislation and Town of Innisfil policies and procedures.

You will be responsible for the daily frontline supervision of the operations and maintenance of Town Facilities, as well as:


  • Coordinating and assigning staff duties and responsibilities, delegating tasks to staff to be completed and delivered in a safe and operationally efficient manner
  • Providing superior leadership through coaching, mentoring, change management and continuous improvement initiatives; responsible for staff training, development, performance management/review, health and safety, collective agreement administration, corrective action, and grievance responses
  • Arranging repairs to facilities equipment and building systems and maintaining the physical assets of the facilities by following through on a preventative maintenance program
  • Assisting the Manager with the development of capital and operational budgets and providing key insights into the current state of buildings, associated operations, and service level commitments.


  • Job Requirements

  • College diploma in one of the following areas, or related field: building construction technology, building systems engineering technology, facility management or suitable equivalent.
  • IFMA Facility Management Professional (FMP), BMOI Real Property Administrator (RPA), ORFA certifications and/or credentials is an added asset.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of facilities management and building maintenance experience along with three (3) years supervisory experience in a unionized corporate environment.
  • A valid Class "G" driver's license in good standing is required as is a reliable vehicle to use on corporate business.
  • Availability to attend evening and/or weekend meetings or other events; and to respond to major emergencies as required.
