Description
BG Excavating Limited is hiring a
Heavy Equipment Operator for our construction sites located throughout the
City of Ottawa. Heavy Equipment Operators will be required to operate equipment in compliance with BG's Health and Safety Policy.


Tasks and Responsibilities:


  • Primarily operate excavators ranging from 830 ton with occasional backhoe and skid steer operating
  • Perform daily maintenance checks of equipment
  • Proper and safe operation of equipment
  • Perform fine grading, and stripping tasks
  • Load trucks and trailers with material
  • Work with site foreman to complete tasks
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Employment Requirement:


  • 2+ Years of Experience
  • Working at Height & WHIMIS (or ability to obtain)
  • CSAapproved Work Boots
  • Posses a valid driver's license with a clean abstract
  • Access to a vehicle to commute to and from work
  • Reliability or Secret Level Security Clearance is considered an asset

Experience:
