Discovery Co-operative is hiring a full-time
Accounting Technician I for our Administration Department in
North Battleford, SK.
What you'll do:
- Responsible for the daily sales entry across the retail, including the processing and verification of sales transactions.
- Completes all bank transaction entries and communicates with Department Managers as required to ensure invoices are processed accurately.
- Processing payments as required.
- Verifies automated withdrawals from vendors (Lotto/Tobacco/Liquor/FCC).
- Ensure all sales are keyed at periodend.
- Records all EFT deposits.
- Verifies all submitted bank transactions for accuracy in accordance with Administration procedures when receiving and processing for payment.
- Reconciliation of cash up's offering solutions to issues as they arise.
- Performs other general accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Administration and:
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Completion of 12year accounting program from a postsecondary institution.
- 12 years or more of relevant experience in accounting (including data entry).
- Proven organization and time management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to effectively prioritize and manage expectations.
- You're honest and trustworthy, are resultsorientated, and strive to be the best in what you do.
- You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives.
