The successful applicant will work in compliance with all relevant and applicable legislation and Hospital Policies and Procedures, will practice the Bluewater Health Standards of Performance Excellence and will fulfill their role within the Attendance Support Program parameters.

The successful applicant will also possess effective communication and interpersonal skills, will have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and will have strong attention to detail and accuracy.

This includes using techniques and strategies to communicate "I care and I respect you," providing information in a way patients and families can understand, listening to patients and families to learn what an exemplary healthcare experience means to them, and seeking their perspective throughout their stay and during improvement initiatives.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Master's Degree required within 5 years
  • Member in good standing with a Regulated body (College)
  • Certificate and/or demonstrated experience in adult learning

Principal Duties:


  • Reports to the Director, Professional Practice and works closely with CNE, Clinical Program Directors, Program Managers and Professional Practice Supervisors to provide the direction and leadership required to support the programs' professional practice needs
  • Facilities and champions an interprofessional approach to care
  • Facilitates development of interprofessional practice initiatives
  • Works collaboratively with clinical program leadership teams, professional practice team, organizational development, clinical process support and Knowledge Management to facilitate change processes and leadership development initiatives
  • Works with members of the programs to focus on achieving the hospital strategic directions and patient satisfaction goals
  • Works with professional practice on corporatewide initiatives to support organizationalwide educational needs
  • Accountable for communicating benchmarks (i.e. scope of practice parameters) for professional specific standards or practice
  • Engages in research, provides and promotes use of current evidencebased practices
  • Engages in consultation with other leaders for professional practice issues and development of practice based policies
  • Promotes interdisciplinary patient care across the organization
  • Identifies and develops plans for the implementation of best practice care delivery models that support the clinical programs' goals and objectives
  • Works collaboratively with Human Resources for recruitment, retention and staff development activities
  • Assures that budgetary guidelines are met by monitoring monthly expenses and revenues; responsible for productivity improvements and cost efficiencies
