Full-Time | 4-Day Work Week (Monday–Thursday)
We Are Hiring for Two Positions.
Oakum Plumbing & Heating Inc. is growing and currently hiring:
- Journeyman Plumber – Service Division
- Journeyman Plumber – High-End Residential New Construction

We are a growing residential plumbing and mechanical company serving Bowen Island and the North Shore. We focus on quality installs, strong systems, and a crew culture built around respect and work-life balance.
This is not high-volume production plumbing. We do it right.
Service Division Responsibilities
- Hot water tank replacements
- Fixture swaps (toilets, faucets, faucets, sinks, etc.)
- Residential troubleshooting
- Minor renovations
- Professional interaction with homeowners
Ideal for someone who:
- Enjoys diagnosing and solving problems
- Is clean, organized, and confident with clients
- Can work independently
New Construction Responsibilities
- Rough-ins and finishing for high-end custom homes
- Reading and interpreting drawings
- Coordinating with builders and other trades
- Installing well-designed, long-lasting plumbing systems
Ideal for someone who:
- Takes pride in layout and clean installs
- Has experience in custom residential construction
- Wants to build quality systems, not rush jobs
What We're Looking For
- Red Seal / Journeyman Plumber (strong 4th year apprentices may be considered)
- Valid driver's license
- Positive attitude and team mindset
- Pride in clean, professional work

- 4-day work week (Monday–Thursday)
