Payroll Coordinator


Reports to:
HR Manager


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the payroll and benefits administration process from timekeeping policies, payroll & benefits procedures and best practices to disbursement of funds
  • Significant experience with payroll system "

  • WFN_"
  • Check payroll information for accuracy and ensure all relevant paperwork is in order
  • Process timesheets, update payroll records and answer employee questions about payments
  • Liaise with other departments, employees and managers to resolve escalated payroll and benefits issues
  • Assist with collecting new hire documents
  • Assist the HR Manager with various HR related and administrative duties

Education:


  • College or university degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting and/or a related field
  • Member of the Canadian Payroll Association and/or Human Resources Professionals Association is an asset

Other Requirements:


  • Minimum 3 years' work experience in a similar role preferably in the fashion & footwear industry
  • Significant experience with payroll systems (
    _ADP WFN_)
  • Bilingual in French/English is considered an asset
  • Knowledge of provincial employment law and health and safety legislation
  • Advanced PC skills with proficiency in MS Office including MS Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Communication skills; capable of clearly presenting analysis and rationale to other team members. Ability to clearly communicate with people at all levels of the business
  • Solid interpersonal skills, including demonstrated ability to be a team player; acts in an appropriate and professional manner with sensitive and confidential information
