About the Role


The Consolidations team, within the Business Services Group (BSG), is looking for a student to work closely with the team for the Fall term.


Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Senior Accountants on the team to execute the monthly and quarterly consolidation and close process that drive the financial statements of Brookfield Renewable;
  • Prepare supporting schedules and analysis required for financial statement disclosures and management reporting;
  • Correspond regularly with regional accounting teams and other corporate departments on various related activities;
  • Assist in the review of quarterly accounting reports received from regional accounting teams to ensure consistency and accuracy, and provide timely feedback;
  • Work on ad hoc projects as needed.

Knowledge Required

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited postsecondary program;
  • Completed minimum first year university studies in Commerce/Business Administration concentrating in accounting;
  • Financial/accounting knowledge;
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Note:
Offices continue to be central to collaboration and Brookfield's identity. This position requires the employee to be on-site for a minimum of 3 days to perform most effectively. We will reassess the approach on a as needed basis.
