MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE TRADESPERSON

The Opportunity:

We currently have an exciting opportunity within our Paper Mill maintenance team for a
Journeyman Red Seal Machinist. In this role, you will work under the supervision of the Paper Mill Mechanical Maintenance Team Lead.

Responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:


  • Carrying out the daily maintenance requirements of Irving Paper's Maintenance Department
  • Shift work may also be required

You Have:


  • Red Seal Journeyman Machinist
  • Must be entered into or willing to enter a Millwright apprenticeship and work towards the acquisition of a Red Seal Certification.
  • Education Required: Machinist or associate degree in the Mechanical Technician Program / Industrial Mechanic / Millwright
  • Years of
Experience Required: 2-5 years, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.

  • Previous maintenance experience in heavy industry would be considered an asset
  • Journeyman Industrial Mechanic or Millwright would be considered as asset
  • Journeyman Pipefitter would be considered an asset
  • Journeyman Welder would be considered an asset
  • Excellent communication and problemsolving skills
  • Ability to work in a flexible team environment
  • Must be able to assume responsibility and work with mínimal supervision
