Job summary

The Seasonal Assistant Hamlet Operator is accountable to the Projects & Infrastructure Supervisor for efficient and effective operations of Water and Wastewater Infrastructure in the Municipal District of Taber (MDT), as well as year-round maintenance of parks, public spaces, and other municipal property within the hamlets.

Daily work activities include:

Conduct routine testing to ensure quality of water, wastewater, and storm drainage.
Conduct routine visual inspections of water, wastewater, and storm drainage facilities and infrastructure to identify potential issues and ensure safe and efficient operation of MDT facilities.

Parks And Grounds Maintenance:

Maintain grassed areas in parks along public roadways by performing regular mowing & trimming tasks.
