Supporting and working alongside the members of the Canadian Armed Forces and actively preparing them to defend and serve our country could be your path to an extremely fulfilling career.
As part of a dynamic and dedicated team, as a Fitness and Sports Instructor, you will have the opportunity to lead Fitness, Sports and Aquatics programs for a very highly motivated and professional clientele.
Daily, you will develop, deliver and assess Tactical programs based on established employment standards to ensure the members of the Canadian Armed Forces can safely and effectively perform their duties in operations.

Working with us, you'll have the opportunity to deliver programs and services that are grounded in cutting edge scientific research and supported by state-of-the-art technologyQUALIFICATIONS NEEDED Education, Certifications and Licenses**Bachelor's degree in physical education, exercise physiology, exercise science, or a related field
AND some years of experience in physical fitness evaluation and prescription or in a related field
College diploma or certificate in physical education, exercise science, or a related field
AND some several years of experience in physical fitness evaluations and prescription, or in a related field
OR
An acceptable combination of education, training, and/or experience will also be considered
AND
Current CPR and Basic First Aid qualifications
Successful completion of Personnel Support Programs (PSP) Fitness & Sports level 1&2
A valid driver's licence

EXPERIANCE
AND RESPONSIBILITIES Experience**In fitness, sports & recreation facilities or similar environments
In preparing and conducting physical training sessions
In instructing health and physical fitness training modules
in coaching sports
in assembling, inspecting, maintaining & repairing fitness, sports & recreation equipment & facilities.
Responsibilities
Instruct physical training sessions for apparently healthy populations
Conduct physical evaluations
Instruct practical and theoretical physical education seminars and lessons.
Develop and provide personal and remedial training for apparently healthy population
Deliver group fitness training sessions for populations with medical conditions, functional limitations or disabilities as prescribed and/or reviewed and approved in writing by a reconditioning staff.
Assist with administrative duties for fitness and evaluation programs.
Inspect physical fitness equipment and initiate corrective action.
Maintain a level of physical fitness according to established direction.
Assist with ordering equipment and maintaining inventory control.
Ensure maintenance of the facilities, sports fields, machinery, and equipment are completed

OTHER INFORMATION
Perform moderate lifting, carrying, pulling and/or pushing (i.e. more than 10 lbs/4.5 kg but less than 50 lbs/23 kg).
Successful completion of the Personnel Support Programs (PSP) Fitness & Sports Level 1 & 2 Courses by the end of probation.
