Department of Finance is seeking a qualified individual for the Corporate Systems Analyst position within the Corporate Services Branch.

Corporate Services' mandate is to support the department with achieving government-wide and other initiatives assigned to Manitoba Finance as well as provide a central and supportive role for the department.

Qualifications:

Essential:


  • Postsecondary education in the field of Business Analysis, Information Technology or Public/Business Administration or other relevant discipline. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Experience independently managing electronic information databases such as SharePoint, Visio, Adobe, webbased, and other technologybased business tools with high technical ability.
  • Experience in quality assurance and maintenance of information including; collecting, compiling, interpreting and evaluating information for reports.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills including providing recommendations about specific issues.
  • Excellent written communication skills including experience writing a variety of clear and concise documents and reports.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills including experience facilitating and presenting information to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to foster positive relationships, work cooperatively and effectively in a diverse work environment.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet competing deadlines in a timely fashion with superior attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative and embrace innovation.

Desired:


  • General understanding of Finance's structure and business areas.
  • French language skills considered an asset.

Duties:


Under the general direction of the Manager, Business Services Unit, this position is responsible for the day-to-day coordination, functionality, troubleshooting, access control, and quality control of Manitoba Finance's Regulatory Accountability Database (RAD); Finance Employee Development and Inclusion (EDI) Intranet site; Finance Accessibility Share Point site; Corporate Services Intranet site and Agencies, Boards and Commissions (ABC) Finance Share Point site.

The Corporate Systems Analyst is accountable for working with the development of processes and implementation of Business Unit functions such as planning, and coordination of special studies, projects, planning activities, correspondence management and strategic corporate initiatives for the division and department.

The position assists with the processes, ensuring quality control and timely responses to align with Manitoba Finance's mandate. The position will be required to communicate with senior staff, decision makers and all levels within the department using political acumen and excellent communication skills
