Fibercon Network Infrastructures is a telecommunications construction and splicing company, focusing on fiber optic placement and network splicing. We construct both Bell and Rogers telecommunications plant, to provide customers with fast and efficient service. Our integrated solutions and project delivery strategies improve project timelines and processes, generating increased capabilities for ongoing projects.

We are looking to add a
Day Labourer to our telecom construction team.

Monday to Friday: Day shift is 6:30am to 4:30pm, (overtime after 10hrs)
Benefits and Pension with the union
Must join Local 183 Union

Required Qualifications

Must have a valid "G" Driver's License and a good driver's abstract
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions year long
Good verbal communication skills and able to work with others
Be in good physical condition
Must be able to speak, read, and write in English
Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment

Duties/Responsibilities

Experience in construction, is Ideal
Able to work in pits roughly waist high
Able to use a variety of power tools

A typical day may entail

Driving a vehicle to site
Repair/Installation cutting of underground fiber optic conduit
Communicating with Construction Foreman
Digging with a shovel
Blowing Fiber Optic Cables

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent

Salary:
$21.00-$26.00 per hour

Schedule:

10 hour shift
Day shift

Supplemental pay types:

Overtime pay
