The Painter is responsible for painting the required materials as per the paint specifications provided as well as cleaning out all equipment and accurately completing all required paperwork.

The painter is also responsible for safely moving materials to and from the paint booths.

Main responsibilities will include:

Paint required materials per specifications.
Read and follow finish code front sheet for paint requirements.
Effectively block out material as per drawings.
Perform accurate DFT readings.
Accurately completes paperwork with required paint codes, products, ambient readings etc.
Crane, Rigging, and Flipping.
Mentorship and Training.

Desired Skills and Experience

Required

Completion of Secondary School.

Experience

2 years painting experience which includes working with airless painting equipment.
Experience in automotive painting is an asset.

Skills, Knowledge and Competency Requirements

Knowledge of industrial paint products and industrial paint spray equipment.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Ability to operate overhead cranes.
Knowledge of Health and Safety procedures.
A team player, who can interrelate and operate efficiently with peers and other associates within a collegial, yet demanding, work environment.
Organization skills and the ability to be flexible in managing changing priorities.
Strong time management skills.

Working Conditions

Standing.
Handeye coordination.
Manual dexterity.
Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
