We are searching for an experienced and detail-oriented individual to join the Sensi Brands team as a Sales & Financial Analyst.

In this role, you will be reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, with dotted line to Chief Revenue Officer.

The Sales & Financial Analyst will draw heavily on financial modeling and system skills to provide financial insights to help drive financial decision-making that yields maximum long-term value for the business.

You will work closely with the sales and finance team to develop strategies and provide recommendations enabling the company to optimize its operations and achieve its financial objectives.

As the Sales & Financial Analyst you will...

  • Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Operations, IT, and other departments to identify opportunities for process improvement, streamline workflows, and implement solutions to enhance overall efficiency.
  • Develop and analyze financial trends, providing insights into their impact on Profit and Loss (P&L) Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Assist in SKU forecasting and conduct aged inventory analysis, offering recommendations tailored to specific provinces.
  • Monitor and verify marketing and promotional activities, providing key customers with insights on inventory levels alignment with the trade marketing calendar.
  • Conduct thorough research on industry trends and best practices to identify growth opportunities and areas for improvement.
  • Assist in business planning and forecasting processes, contributing valuable insights to support strategic decisionmaking.
  • Analyze and report on retailer sales data, ensuring that retailer KPIs are met and providing actionable recommendations.
  • Manage the company's pricing calculator for new and existing products, offering recommendations for pricing and cost updates aligned with revenue and profitability objectives.
  • Provide timely, relevant, and accurate reporting and analysis of business performance against historical, budgeted, forecasted, and strategic planning results to facilitate decisionmaking toward the achievement of the budget and strategic plan.
  • Quantify the impacts of initiatives or operational activities on profit and loss flows in sales and finance, articulating calculations to derive these impacts.
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis and perform other duties assigned by the company, contributing to the overall success and efficiency of the organization.

As an experienced professional, you will have...

  • University degree in finance and/or business.
  • 4+ years of previous work experience in sales analysis and/or financial analysis role.
  • Strong technology skills and proficiency in using Microsoft 365 suite (Excel, Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word) is required.
  • Experienced in financial modeling and data analysis tools an asset (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI or Jet Reports, etc.).
  • Experience with CRM systems such as Dynamics Business Central and sales reporting tools is an asset.
  • Previous work experience in the cannabis industry or knowledge of the cannabis industry and regulations is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
