Do you have the "write" stuff? The Edmonton Public Library (EPL) is looking for a remarkable writer, media savvy go-getter and project management ace to join our marketing and communications team.

Key responsibilities include:
- Implementation of EPL's media strategy including first point of contact for media, drafting and issuing media releases, coordinating media calls, pitching stories and reporting on results.
- Working with the marketing team and project leads to leverage media.
- Planning, coordinating, drafting and editing EPL's corporate collateral and marketing communications tools such as our annual report and website.
- Writing, editing and proofing internal and external communications as well as speech writing for EPL executive and board members.
- Assisting in the development and coordination of varied EPL projects, events and marketing campaigns.
- Leading the development and analysis of EPL newsletters including those targeted at customers, teachers, volunteers and media.
Qualifications:
- Related postsecondary diploma or degree.
- A minimum of 3 years of directly related experience.
- Demonstrated experience working with media and media relations.
- Knowledge and experience engaging stakeholders through social media.
- Membership in the International Association of Business Communications (IABC) or the Canadian Public Relations Society (CPRS) is an asset.
- Working knowledge of advanced computer programs like Adobe Photoshop and Creative Suite is an asset.

Pay Band:
$ $42.52 per hour
- Approximately $60,866 $77,698 per annum based on a 35 hour work week.
