Job Summary:
Responsibilities
- Team Management:
- Oversee direct reports to provide direction of daily activities towards accomplishing the departments strategic goals including, but not limited to, employee training, coaching, development, and performance evaluation.
- Operational execution support:
- o Appropriate handling of the Debt Sale process, specifically the placement, funding and the processing of disputes or account buy-backs (closed or returned accounts).
- o DNP Letters are sent in a timely manner and appropriately meets the business decisions on handling.
- o Drop/DNP/De-enrollment of accounts across both the residential/Commercial portfolios.
- o Process write-offs in an accurate and timely fashion.
o Ensure appropriate placement of accounts with OCA (3rd party agencies).
- o Providing documentation for legal placement accounts (i.e. Contracts and pertinent payment/invoice information)
- Analytical & Critical Thinking:
- o Actively monitor performance metrics, and ensure execution/trouble-shooting of key tasks.
- Sound decisionmaking skills and response to highpressure situations.
Requirements:
- Must be detail oriented with a strong ability to identify a pattern in a problem, conduct research, coordinate with the appropriate internal team(s) to solve problems and deliver solutions to customer inquiries.
- Advanced soft skills with the ability to discuss complex and difficult issues to all levels in the organization.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills to complete tasks and coordinate project activities.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast growing and fast paced environment while consistently delivering accuracy and meeting firm deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and proven ability to develop and lead high performing teams.
- High technical aptitude with ability to understand new tools and data.
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in managing/supervising employees, including leading efforts and setting direction for projects and staff, is preferred.
- 3+ years of experience of retail gas and/or electric industry experience is preferred.
Education:
- Grade 12 diploma or GED is required.
- Bachelor 's degree in Accounting or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Technology Requirements:
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Visio, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, etc.
- Basic knowledge of SQL
