Job Summary:


Responsibilities

  • Team Management:
  • Oversee direct reports to provide direction of daily activities towards accomplishing the departments strategic goals including, but not limited to, employee training, coaching, development, and performance evaluation.
- o Inspire and motivate employees to perform at their best through effective leadership, excellent work ethic, clear communication, as well as a positive attitude.

  • Operational execution support:
- o Critical Care review and execution of strategies aligned with proper handling of key accounts.
- o Appropriate handling of the Debt Sale process, specifically the placement, funding and the processing of disputes or account buy-backs (closed or returned accounts).
- o DNP Letters are sent in a timely manner and appropriately meets the business decisions on handling.
- o Drop/DNP/De-enrollment of accounts across both the residential/Commercial portfolios.
- o Process write-offs in an accurate and timely fashion.

o Ensure appropriate placement of accounts with OCA (3rd party agencies).
- o Providing documentation for legal placement accounts (i.e. Contracts and pertinent payment/invoice information)

  • Analytical & Critical Thinking:
- o Evaluate current back-office process and procedures identify and resolve process gaps.
- o Actively monitor performance metrics, and ensure execution/trouble-shooting of key tasks.

  • Sound decisionmaking skills and response to highpressure situations.

Requirements:


  • Must be detail oriented with a strong ability to identify a pattern in a problem, conduct research, coordinate with the appropriate internal team(s) to solve problems and deliver solutions to customer inquiries.
  • Advanced soft skills with the ability to discuss complex and difficult issues to all levels in the organization.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills to complete tasks and coordinate project activities.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast growing and fast paced environment while consistently delivering accuracy and meeting firm deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and proven ability to develop and lead high performing teams.
  • High technical aptitude with ability to understand new tools and data.

Experience:


  • 3+ years of experience in managing/supervising employees, including leading efforts and setting direction for projects and staff, is preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience of retail gas and/or electric industry experience is preferred.

Education:


  • Grade 12 diploma or GED is required.
  • Bachelor 's degree in Accounting or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

Technology Requirements:


  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Visio, PowerPoint, etc.).
- iSigma/GBASS experience preferred.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL
