- Possesses registered professional status at theAdvanced Care Paramedic designation in the Province of Alberta.
- Must possess a valid Alberta Driver's License withless than 5 demerits and no license suspensions in the last 2 years. (Class 4with Q endorsement)
- Must be able to perform work related duties whilewearing a Self Contained Breathing Apparatus.
- Must be able to perform work from heights in varioussituations as required.
- Ability to effectively use all personal protectivedevices and clothing supplied by the Department.
- Demonstrate proficient use of a computer and numeroussoftware programs.(Microsoft Office, others).
- Must pass a criminal record check.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in ateam environment

Hours of Work:
The normal schedule of work for full time employeesaverages to 42 hours per week with a rotating schedule of 10, 12 and 14 hourshifts. During the initial trainingperiod successful applicants will be on special assignment, working Monday –Friday for 2 weeks.

We are seeking registered Advanced Care Paramedics(ACP) and Second year Advanced Care Paramedic Students. We are not activelyrecruiting Primary Care Paramedics (PCP) in this competition.
To be selected for the interview stage of the process,applicants must provide proof of successful completion of the physicalexamination within the past 6 months, as well as proof of successful completionof the aptitude test, see details below. The aptitude test results will bevalid for a period of two years.
The aptitude testing will occur every secondWednesday, with two different sessions available: one at 0800 hrs and anotherat 1330 hrs. Each testing session lasts approximately 2.5 hours.
