Who we are looking for:

We are looking for an enthusiastic self starter to lead our Safety and Compliance Division.***
What you will do:
  • Assists, plans, and implements safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state/provincial, and federal rules and regulations including Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Department of Transportation (DOT and MTO)
  • Advises Manager on safety compliance concerns and preventative actions.
  • Plans and implements training for employees in work site safety practices. Ensures that driver road tests are conducted when required as well as spot pre and post trip inspection are completed properly.
  • Maintains driver safety files and training records
  • Performs safety surveys and inspections, prepares written reports of findings and recommendations for corrective or preventive measures when indicated and follows up to ensure measures have been implemented.
  • Yearly driver Safety Meeting is conducted
  • Conducts post accident investigation and prepares report identifying possible accident causes and hazards for use by company personnel and senior management.
  • Assist, set up and conducts training.
  • Onboarding of new drivers of ASL poli ides and procedures
  • Assists in the development, evaluation and upgrading of safety programs.
  • Reviews and ensures CVOR is correct and follow up on any unreported incidents.
  • Ensures Compliance such as IFTA reporting, Yearly plate renewals, Emissions tests, and other Certificates are requested timely.
  • Elog review on hours of service.
  • Assist drivers with any issues of use of the Elogs
  • Attends all Health and Safety Committee meetings on behalf of the Fleet
