    Jump Recruitment Specialists have partnered with the Quality Hotel in Clarenville, NL in their search for a full-time permanent Food & Beverage Manager.

    The Quality Hotel Clarenville is proudly owned by the Sparkes family who have been in the hospitality business for 52 years. This is the most recent acquisition and they completely re-built the hotel from the inside out in 2018.     THE ROLE:

    As Food and Beverage (F&B) Manager, you will lead all F&B related activities relating to the hotel's restaurant, lounge and banquet/meeting room facilities. You will achieve excellence through providing the upmost in customer service while delivering against key financial goals and performance metrics for F&B operations.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Menu development and consultation with the management team
    • Weekly scheduling of F&B staff members
    • Communicate with suppliers for current pricing/delivery
    • Recruit, mentor and develop staff, empowering them to provide a customer service experience
    • Respond to all F&B inquiries/concerns and complaints
    • Lead the team on all matters related to health, safety, human resources etc.
    • Perform monthly inventory reporting to ensure F&B costs are controlled
    • Keep the F&B areas clean and maintain exemplary food hygiene/safety practices

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Minimum of 3-5 years of supervisor/leadership experience within F&B Operations, prior cooking experience is valued
    • Must be available to work any scheduled and/or call in shifts. Including evening and weekends
    • Experience in costing menu items and inventory management
    • Strong relationship building skills, working effectively with suppliers and vendors
    • A passion for providing an exceptional customer experience
    • Demonstrated knowledge of POS, Catering Systems as well as MS Office
