JOB POSTING
A day in the life of a Concierge:
You will be responsible for providing receptionist and general administrative duties.
In this role you will greet residents, visitors, receive and redirect external calls, issue work orders, print dining room menus, monitor/maintain the Tuck Shoppe, reconcile end of day sales, maintain resident lists, respond to resident/family inquiries, perform basic accounting functions and provide general assistance as required.
How do I qualify?
You must have:
- Grade 12 education supplemented with training/coursework and/or practical experience in general customer service and office procedures.
- Proficiency with MS Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. Accounting software experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Excellent communications skills in English, both written and oral.
- You must be outgoing and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills with residents, visitors and fellow employees
- Work well under pressure and can effectively manage priorities and multitask.
- A pleasant and engaging voice is required in order to effectively greet others, record phone messages, and communicate with the general public and residents alike.
- Valid 'G' Driver's License
What we are looking for:
- Previous experience working in a "5 star" property or similar environment is an asset
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment, and without direct supervision
- Flexibility to work weekdays, afternoons and weekends
- Availability to be scheduled or called in with little advance notice
- Demonstrated ability in dealing with the public, using tact and discretion
- Genuine interest in and concern for residents
- Reliable and dependable
- Wellgroomed
