Environmental Project Manager

Do you want to lead environmental assessments or permitting for the development of hydropower, nuclear other energy projects in the province and across the country?


Qualifications and Experience:


  • A Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Planning or related discipline;
  • 510 years of relevant experience;
  • Knowledge and experience in obtaining environmental permits and approvals requirements, natural heritage policies and protocols and environmental legislation
  • Experience in engaging with clients;
  • Project coordination or management experience; and
  • Flexibility to learn and perform challenging tasks outside their area of experience.

The Role

  • Engage with clients to develop and execute work plans;
  • Manage baseline environmental studies, environmental assessments, environmental management strategies, and plans including research, report writing, field work, and stakeholder and regulatory consultation;
  • Coordinate work with other environmental specialists (i.e. noise, air, archaeology, built heritage, fisheries, terrestrial ecologists, etc.).
  • Collect and synthesize scientific literature, existing data sets and secondary source material for technical reports;
  • Lead and support permitting, and approvals related to the natural environment (e.g., Environmental Protection Act, Fisheries Act, Impact Assessment Act); and
  • Deliver highquality environmental services to agreed budgets and deadlines.
